Australia’s Northern Territory is based in central Australia and it is home to its capital of Darwin. The Northern Territory boasts some thrilling outdoor sights, including Alice Springs, Nitmiluk Gorge and Uluru/Ayers Rock, not to mention a handful of National Parks.
There are two climate zones within the Northern Territory that are quite distinct from one another. The first is a tropical climate that boasts very wet, humid weather experienced mainly in the northern area of the state. Towards the centre of the state is where the desert climate begins to take hold, where temperatures can skyrocket to 48 degrees Celsius.
