Held just outside of the iconic New South Wales outback town of Broken Hill, the Mundi Mundi Bash returns in 2025 (21–23 August) with an incredible star-studded lineup. With 14,000 tickets sold to last year’s event, this year’s event expects to be even bigger, especially with its sister festival the Birdsville Big Red Bash taking a breather in 2025.

The journey of Mundi Mundi always starts with the adventurous drive in, followed by three days of the best Australian music, country hospitality and camping under the Milky Way. This year’s event is coming up fast, so make sure you have secured your tickets (more on this below) if you intend to check out this epic outback festival.

Lineup revealed

This year’s Mundi Mundi Bash has just released its final lineup of celebrated Australian artists for the three-day festival starting on 21 August — four days if you include Wednesday night’s show (only for those who hold an Early Entry Vehicle Pass). Performing on the Wednesday (20 August) is Leroy Johnson & The Waterbag Band, Tha Boiz, the Headliners and Chocolate Starfish.

On the Thursday (21 August) you can expect sets from Mick Thomas, Caitlyn Shadbolt, Shannon Noll, Ross Wilson, Thirsty Merc, Rose Tattoo, Kasey Chambers and The Angels. While on Friday (22 August) 19Twenty, The Chantoozies, Mi-Sex, Brad Cox, Birds of Tokyo, Missy Higgens and Ziggy — 50 years of Bowie will be performing.

For the festival’s final day, Saturday 23 August, the performing musicians will include the Pierce Brothers, Dragon, Leo Sayer, Kate Ceberano, The Cat Empire and Hoodoo Gurus. Now, while the music is one of the festival’s main drawcards, there are countless other activities to enjoy at the Bash.

Activities

The Mundi Undi Run

Aside from the impressive musical lineup, there are countless activities to join and enjoy at Mundi which are always a lot of fun. These include the Mad Max World Record attempt, the largest Nutbush Dance World Record attempt, the Mundi Undi Run, camel rides, sunrise yoga, scenic helicopter flights, a petting zoo and much more!

Getting there

Getting to the Mundi Mundi Bash is always a fun part of the experience and there are a few different ways to get there. Held 40km northwest of Broken Hill on the iconic Mundi Mundi Plains, the site where the festival is held is affectionately known as ‘Mundiville’.

Broken Hill is a remote location in the NSW outback; however, it is surrounded by sealed roads, so you do not need a 4WD vehicle to access the event. We took the liberty of borrowing this handy travel guide from the Mundi Mundi Bash website (below), so you know just how far you need to travel from each capital city:
