If you’re attending the 2024 Melbourne Caravan & Camping Leisurefest make sure you check out the Hema stand and our daily ‘Dos & Don’ts for Travelling Remote Australia’ presentation.

The time has finally come … we’re gearing up for this year’s Melbourne Caravan & Camping Leisurefest held at Sandown Racecourse in Springvale over four massive days (3–6 October 2024). Kicking off this Thursday, event organisers are expecting upwards of 30,000 attendees.

Four-wheel drive enthusiasts and adventurers: get ready for an epic four days where you’ll have the chance to explore all the best caravan, RV, camping, 4WD and outdoor brands all in one place.

There will be four specialised zones at this year’s show: the RV Master Stage (more on this below), Off-Grid Campground, Adventure Zone and the Kids’ Zone.

Visitors can expect to enjoy free demonstrations and industry presentations — and plenty of opportunities to pick up expert tips just in time for your next outdoor adventure.

The Hema Maps stand

Hema Maps has been attending outdoor lifestyle shows for more than 10 years and is proud to return to the Melbourne Caravan & Camping Leisurefest in 2024. Come on down to Stand 113 (undercover) to meet the team and pick up some bargains.

We’ll have our range of products available for purchase on the day, ranging from touring and outdoor accessories — from brands like Garmin and Saber — to all our atlases and guides, maps and navigators.

We’ll have plenty of ‘Show specials’ that will only be available to purchase directly from our stand for the four days at the Melbourne Caravan & Camping Leisurefest. If you’d like to peruse our current product catalogue prior to the Show, just click this link.

Dos & Don’ts for Travelling Remote Australia

You also can’t miss our daily ‘Dos & Don’ts for Travelling Remote Australia’ presentation at the RV Master Stage where Justin Gill, Hema Maps National Product Manager, covers everything you need to know before embarking on an outback journey.

Justin — in an effort to support Aussie remote travellers — will cover packing tips, things to be aware of in the outback, tips for travelling dirt roads, the permits required, general outback/regional travel tips and some awesome off-the-beaten-track destinations that people generally overlook but, as you’ll see, definitely shouldn’t.

Check out Justin’s presentation at the following times:

Thursday 3 October 2024: 12pm

Friday 4 October 2024: 1pm

Saturday 5 October 2024: 10am

Sunday 6 October 2024: 10am
