Rebuilding a Legend: Hema Maps 76 Series Rebuild
We’ve been tackling Australia’s toughest tracks and dirt roads for more than 40 years now, collecting multiple layers of information to produce the country’s largest offroad mapping and POI database. The job of collecting and updating nearly two million kilometres of data rests with our Hema Map Patrol field teams, and to do this, we need to build our own extra heavy-duty 4WDs.
After 10 years and 330,000km of withstanding the toughest conditions in Australia, our iconic LC76 was set for a major overhaul. Partnering with some of Australia’s leading brands, come and join us at the Outback Stage and hear what went into the build and some of the new innovations incorporated. Hear from our team on why we chose the fit out and upgrades to give the LC another 10 years of active service.
Track n Trips: Traversing the Simpson Desert
You also don’t want miss our daily 11am Track n Trips Show at the Town Square Pavilion where Justin Gill, Hema Maps National Retail Sales Manager, takes you on a recent 3000km trip through the Simpson Desert. Traversing the Simpson Desert is no easy feat and takes plenty of preparation and understanding of the journey ahead. Join Justin ‘on’ the expedition as Hema’s iconic LC76 Map Patrol tackles this bucket-list destination and asks those important questions including vehicle setup, communication, fuel usage, water, permits and all the dos and don’ts to safely navigate this journey.

You only have a few more days before the Show, so make sure you secure your tickets now. Tickets are still available on The National 4x4 Outdoors Show website, and if you purchase your tickets before the show’s start date on 18 August, you can score a 15% discount with the code ‘HEMA’.
