The National 4x4 Outdoors Show is Back!
Queensland’s largest and most popular outdoor lifestyle, recreational and adventure event is back. The Brisbane National 4X4 Outdoors Show will be held at the Brisbane Showgrounds on 18–20 March 2022.
Featuring 45,000 square metres of outdoor display space, including two big stages, an action and entertainment arena, a brand new camping and outdoor stage and an interactive campsite experience, the Brisbane National 4x4 Outdoors Show is a feat of logistical excellence.
We spoke to Event Director Jon, who told us a bit about what it takes to organise such a huge event. “We start planning almost immediately after the show so it’s a full 12 months to deliver an event of this scale,” Jon explained.
This year, Jon is looking forward to some of the new features, such as the Bushcraft Zone where you can learn to light campfires, Garage Talks for interactive sessions on 4x4 topics and the new Camping and Outdoor Stage in partnership with Wild Earth.
The Camping and Outdoors Stage is a brand-new feature and will play host to a series of Q&As with some of Australia’s wild ones. The Bushcraft zone is the place to brush up on your bush survival skills. Bushcraft Survival Australia will be covering fundamental wilderness skills to ensure you’re prepared for your next adventure. Looking for technical information and education on all the essentials for 4WDriving? Then Garage Talks is where it’s at, covering a wide range of topics including safety, terrain, towing and trip preparation.
There will be loads of bargains up for grabs, plenty of prizes on offer, and presentations on the Outback Stage by exclusive special guests including Pat Callinan (Mr 4X4), Graham and Shauno (4WD 24-7), Jase and Simon (All 4 Adventure) and many more.
There are over 200 exhibits this year, including our very own Hema Maps and Camper magazine. Hema Maps will be bringing Camper Trailer of the Year (CTOTY) to the show, as well as information sessions on how to select a camper trailer that is right for you. You can find Hema on the Lower Level, RICC (Royal International Convention Centre) building, stand 415.
Following the success of last year’s near sell-out event, ticket sales will continue exclusively online, and are sold for dedicated entry times on each of the three days of the event.
For more information and tickets, head to https://4x4show.com.au/Brisbane/buy-tickets. Use the code CTOTY to save 15% on your ticket. Don’t take too long though. According to Jon, this year is likely to see huge crowds. “Holidaying at home is still a major trend, even though international borders are open, so I don't see any let-up in the huge demand for camping and 4x4 products. We're expecting a big crowd,” he said.
