This week Hema released its new 4x4 Explorer App. The App has been in development for over 12 months and features an exciting new development for Hema in its mapping platform having moved from a Raster to Vector based map platform. The Vector platform allows for a much more dynamic user experience offering a very fast, crisp platform that provides for 360 degree rotation and 3D Map viewing with significantly smaller map file sizes.

Within your Hema Cloud account you can log your trips with accurate track recording, geotag photos along the way, save waypoints and trip notes and then sync all your offline app data to the Hema Maps Cloud when you’re connected to the internet. The Hema Maps Cloud not only allows you to store, edit and share your trip with friends and family it also lets you load up your old Tracks from the Old Explorer Cloud and other GPX files from your other apps.

The Cloud also has trip (itinerary) and track planning functionality which can then be synced to the app so you can see your past or planned trips and tracks.
