A Useful map to rough out a planned trip

We purchased this large map of Australia to rough out our next adventure on. Using some coloured markers on it, we traced out where we might go, including some options for further investigation. We took that information and then plotted the detail into the Memory Map software that hosts the Hema 4WD maps. In fact, we have one copy of that on the 4WD's (Android based) head unit and one on our laptop (it cost us two licences for the digital maps but I think that was worth it from the point of view of flexibility and the ability to plot using a large screen). After we have done our trip, I imagine that we will mark the actual route taken on the large map, to keep as a memento.
The nice thing about the large map is it contains all the detail that we need to give us a pretty good idea of where we might go and what the terrain might be like. Any missing information got filled in by the Hema 4WD digital map.
All in all, I think that this map has been worth it for us, serving the purpose that we put it to.

First thing I did was run clear sticky tape on the folds & it fits comfortably in our Australia Road & 4WD Atlas. Heaps of detail too. It is a very large map
