For over 30 years, Hema has been mapping Australia. Over that journey we have come across some pretty spectacular locations. One of the most important considerations in preparing for any trip is ‘Where to Camp’. Whether that be bush camping, overnight rest areas, camping grounds or caravans parks Hema’s ‘Map Patrol’ has experienced a fair few. In fact, as part of this Where to Camp Guide we have catalogued and indexed over 5,500 sites split into 75 distinct regions covering each State and Territory.

Of that, there are over 1,000 free and budget sites. Each of the sites listed has detailed site information and facilities ‘field checked’ by Hema.

Of course as part of this guide we have our industry leading maps, in fact over 180 pages worth as part of this guide. In addition, we’ve also included camping and travel tips and like to think we’ve provided all this information in an intuitive and easy to use design.
