Featuring trusted Hema mapping for all of Australia, the perfect bound Hema Road & 4WD Atlas is the definitive travel guide for tourers and adventurers. Hema atlases feature more information useful to travellers, including 4WD tracks, campsites, caravan parks, rest areas, 24-hour fuel, and points of interest.

This edition contains more mapping than ever before, which is enhanced by a striking new cartographic style that's incredibly easy to read. Included in this is up-to-date mapping for Australia's biggest 4WD destinations: Cape York, Fraser Island, the Top End, the Kimberley, the Pilbara, Central Australia, High Country Victoria, and the Flinders Ranges.

A handy distance grid, national park guide, list of accredited information centres, and a complete index are also included to assist with trip planning and navigation, making it the perfect tool for guiding tourers, campers, road trippers, and off-roaders throughout Australia.

Good map reference book although some places missing.

I bought this book of maps to replace Edition 6 of HEMA Australia Road & 4WD Atlas (118 maps) which I have used endlessly for many years as a convenient reference for organizing trips and reviewing alternative routes along the way, supplementing my HEMA HX-1 . This newer edition is bulkier, so a bit less convenient for ease of quick referencing, but it does have more maps (187 maps) plus supplementary information (National Parks, Visitor Information Centers and town lists). Disappointing that there are some details/towns that are in the older edition that are not included in this more recent edition which is rather surprising. Otherwise, a good reference book that is less bulky than the ring-bound books.

Australia 4wd &Road Atlas

Lacking in detail. eg. NSW no Gooloogong, Tuena, Trunkey Creek townships. Several NP not listed in NP Index,eg Toorale NP to name but one. Otherwise enjoyable.
