new device upgrade pack

just received new device back, memory-maps even displayed and maintained tracking of roads and off road tracks so is good to go

Not user friendly

My old HEMA Oz Offroad maps were easy to use and I still love and use it. Whilst I have found HEMA easy enough to contact and service was good I do struggle with the new HX2. I also did not realise I would have to pay more $$$ to continue using what is an already expensive item. Jury is out at present on the benefits of this new device.

Unnecessary expense

I’d expect a premium product that is bought to be supplied upgraded at time of purchase and not with firmware that was at least 2 years out of date nor with which one has to suddenly pay after purchase a subscription cost to actually use the product. HX-2+ doesn’t do what it was sold as being able to do for offroad mapping and nor apparently will this upgrade pack enable the old features that worked. Maps don’t work seamlessly for off-road usage as sold. System is not fit for purpose as bought this in Sept 2024 and am now only 11 months later able to start using it for the reason I bought it and even then I don’t know if the actual maps quality is to the standard expected nor how reliable it will be in use. Did HEMA even consider doing Test & Evaluation on this product before flogging it?

I will never trust HEMA products again !!

Was in the process of sending my 32gb unit for the upgrade. Something I should not have to pay for. Not happy. Trying to get in contact with HEMA is next to impossible. A member of a prominent 4WD Club in WA I could, would never recommend your product. I will try to rectify myself. I am not wasting anymore money on your company. Failing a working rectification I will throw my, very expensive, non navigation unit in the bin. Lesson learnt. I know members have been waiting months for units to be returned. Be wary people of sending through more money for non service. HEMA was, once, a great company. What the hell has happened?

So far service has been good have just sent Hema off for repairs on Tuesday morning,waiting for it to be returned so I can give you a better review.
