Not liking the new look HEMA mapping

I bought the new WA atlas as our old map book was out of date. However we really don’t like the new map style for a number of reasons. Main ones being that visually the maps are much harder to read. For example the lack of contrast between the road types; there isn’t enough of a difference between sealed and unsealed roads. The section key maps are so cluttered that you hardly see the details underneath and therefore are useless as ‘bigger picture’ reference maps. Most of the of the National Park maps are missing km markings and names of roads; better off referring to the main map pages for better detail. And why does each page have a page number and a map number? The page number isn’t needed and makes it confusing. My biggest gripe though is the maps are all skewed; the latitudes are so far off horizontal that it's disorientating. I have found and purchased the 3rd edition instead.

Very detailed

Love the spiral boundness, great information of roadside services & points of interest. Could be printed on a slightly larger book to accommodate the great detail of the mapping. Very handy looking book. I will be going to W.A. soon. Thank you.

Excellent Product and Great Service Delivery

I am very impressed with the quick delivery of the book but also with the quality of the book. My wife and I have been reading and reviewing the information and are very impressed with the detail into which it goes. Thank You! We are looking forward to more informed holidays in our home state, that of Western Australia.

Finally, a repalcement for the classic “Street Smart Travellers Atlas – 9th Edition”.

The ultimate atlas for Western Australia used to be the old “Street Smart Travellers Atlas – 9th Edition”, which has been discontinued for several years. But at last, we have a worhy replacement. It's a bit bigger and heavier, but has the same level of inormation, and more. Thank you HEMA maps!
