Eh.

I love the concept of the map don’t get me wrong, but after having it for a I believe a year. The car charger doesn’t work, it lost my account and won’t let me re-register

It’s great how you can see free camping to off road maps etc, but some of those off road maps are people’s private property! I almost ended up with bullet holes! Thank god the farmer understood when I said I was following this map!

On road map not longer loading after update

Hi Hema map team, I am using the HX-2 and always works good, we did an update yesterday (20/10/23) and our on-road map is not able to load anymore. It is very upset as we don’t expect Hema will let us down at the day our trip out. We bought the unit less than a year ago. Would you plz help to assist with the issue? Thanks.

A really bad product! Impossible to get a refund

We had the worst experience with this product. The product is super lagged and doesn’t charge. We have spent the past week trying to get a refund on this awful product and Hema have been hopeless. Super disappointed. Don’t recommend this product for anyone who is wanting to rely on a product for off road navigating. Would love if someone high up in Hema could get in contact and turn this around

HEMA HX-2 Does the Job!

Okaaay, so I’ve read the other reviews about the HEMA HX-2 & it’s evidently been given somewhat of a bad rap.
But you know what? I’ve given this thing a run for it’s money & formed my own opinion.
Beginning to think that other users are used to the good life & spoilt with instant speed & blessed with an “I WANT IT NOW!” Attitude…
It is true that it does take a little while to boot up, & there is a few seconds of lag.
But let’s take a few moments & put some perspective on that.
How fast are we traveling when where off road? If you miss a corner the perhaps you’re either going too fast, or not paying attention..
and really- it’s a self contained GPS unit without a subscription or registered SIM card (that I can tell) it runs well out of regular cellphone range.
The QuickStart Menu is simple to use & understand, its lightweight construction means it won’t jolt around on the mount.
WiFi connectivity helps with map & system upgrades from time to time & really? Other than being a bit slow to boot up & into the applications, I’d say that HEMA have delivered on their promise of quality.
But if you’re the type of person that has zero patience, then okay, spend the extra $2-300 on something that really just as good, but possibly quicker.
In the meantime, im happy with their product. 100%

HX-2 Value & Use

Have had this unit for a while, Did have a problem with it freezing and support told me to send the unit back. Got the unit back from Hema and has worked fine ever since.
The NAV functions all work fine. Slowly getting to use the track & trip functions.

Purchased the unit from Anaconda on one of their special Deals , so the price was idea for me.
